Do not choose a program from an old article or a business plan alone. IRCC stopped accepting most new federal Start-Up Visa applications after December 31, 2025. A limited exception applies to applicants with a valid commitment from a designated organization that was made in 2025. The Self-Employed Persons Program remains paused until further notice.
